Daily itinerary:Day 1Arrive in the village of Leenane (we can help arranging transfers). You will be given your route pack and general information. If there is time we will allocate bikes and equipment. Day 2 The first day is to Westport, via Aasleagh Falls, Delphi Valley and Doo Lough, Louisburgh and along Clew Bay (or for longer option via back of Croagh Patrick) (34 miles= 55 km with longer option). Day 3 Stay another night in Westport - for your cycling itinerary a loop towards the north into Co. Mayo - Newport, Mulranny option of cycling around the wild Coraun Peninsula, which on the south side will give you amazing views across Clew Bay from the other side - return to Westport via Newport (approx 62 miles). Or explore Westport, climb Croagh Patrick, the "Holy Mountain" of Ireland, visit Westport House. Lunch and dinner at participants choice (not included). Day 4 Depart after breakfast via Aghagower, into the mountains down to Toormakeady, Lough Mask, Finny and Clonbur to Cong (44 miles = 66kms). A good long cycle through a variety of scenery. You will stop et a pub along the way to buy your own lunch. Stay the night in B&B, again dinner at your own choice in restaurant. Day 5 Continue your cycle further south along the shores of Lough Corrib to Maam, across a small mountain pass to Maam Cross, and further south to Screeb, over a stretch of wonderful bog road (across from which you have the most magnificent views of the Twelve Bens to Cashel. Stay the night in B&B, where the landlady will cook for you. (approx 46miles) Day 6 Depart after breakfast to cycle back to Leenane. You have the option of a loop around Roundstone, Ballyconneely, back over another bog road to Ballynahinch and via the Lough Inagh Valley (52miles). Lunch along the way at your own choice. Stay the next two nights in guesthouse / dinners are not included. Day 7 A lot to see on this day as you pass Kylemore Abbey, the Connemara National Park in Letterfrack, Renvyle Castle, Tully Cross, Lettergesh and back to Killary Lodge (22 miles=35kms). Longer option turn further south to incorporate a cycle around Cleggan and Streamstown Bay (approx 52miles). Day 8 Breakfast and depart.
